what is Your Design style?

Having a defined design style is key to elevating your designs and being consistent with your visual marketing.

Discover your true design style, start truly embracing it, and become more authentically YOU in your designs than ever before.

Do you notice your breath being taken away when you come across a perfectly stylized mood board?

…the beautiful eye candy color palettes you see on Pinterest that suck you in?

…an Instagram feed that feels cohesive with beautiful personality (so much so that you just might be stalking their page every day)?

…branding that reflects the heart and soul of a business that is so organically inspiring?

Yeah, me too.

There’s something about a clear design style that attracts our attention.
That makes us fall head over heels in love with that brand.

That’s what we all want to aspire too, right?
Having that cohesiveness and consistency in the look + feel of your brand. Together we have 3 goals: build brand recognition, build trust with your audience and make you look polished + professional.

But hold on there! Before you jump ahead and start throwing together a random color palette, selecting those fonts, designing a logo or making changes to existing branding elements — it’s important to decide what your overall brand vibe/tone/message will be. This is one of the first steps I take in my branding process with my clients and I encourage you to do the same. You will need to decide on an aesthetic that aligns with the personality of your business and confidently sells your story to the world.

How does discovering your design style help you elevate your marketing?

1. It helps you make more effective design decisions.

The design tools that you use (colors, fonts, photography, illustrations, etc.) to represent your business, all should align with the overall vision and tone of your business. When that aligns, it will naturally attract your customer/clients’ eye. That’s exactly what we want, right?

Well, there should be a real intention behind those design decisions (colors, fonts, imagery). Knowing your design style will help you get laser focused on the aesthetic you’re after and give you more clarity on colors that align best with it, what fonts might be a good fit, and what kind of emotion you want to evoke with your photography.

2. It helps you be more cohesive with your marketing.

We all want to be positively memorable in the eyes of our audience. We want our clients and customers to recognize us when they see our social media feed, and excitement to receive our products especially when the packaging makes you feel special. That extra touch can make a difference! Part of being memorable and instantly recognizable is being cohesive with your brand visuals - “MAKING BRAND MAGIC”.

3. It helps you show up as the authentic YOU (and attract your ideal customer)

I’m going to be a straight shooter now…

When you’re trying to be something you’re not, it shows. People want to connect with the real you, hear the passion behind your mission, and your authentic “why” behind why you do what you do. Knowing your design style will develop that brand personality/voice, your core values, your unique positioning, which will help you embrace the true you. We want the authentic YOU attracting the right people (your ideal customer).
